An Objective Criterion in Content Production: Content Scorecard

Content SEO has now gone beyond the superficiality of "Let the article be at least 1000 words" and turned into a qualitative rating based entirely on E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authority, Trust). You should use the **Content Scorecard** to measure whether the texts coming from your editors or external agencies are of high quality to receive a Featured Snippet on Google.

5 Main Criteria That Should Be in a Content Scorecard

Give each title a score out of x/10. If the score is below 8, the article should not be published.

1. Search Intent Compliance (10 Points)

Does the article directly respond to the fact (Search Intent) that the user is asking when searching for that word? Is the user looking for information (How to), or is he looking to buy (Prices and Reviews)? Trying to sell a product directly to someone looking for information (Hard-sell) is a violation of intent.

2. Rich Media and Visual Hierarchy (10 Points)

Blog posts consisting of pure and dry text no longer appeal to anyone. Are statistics, tables, infographics or screenshots explaining the subject used in relevant headings? Are images with Alt Text tags readable for Google?

3. Unique Value Proposition (10 Points)

Did you write the same words as the other 10 articles on the first page? Or did you add a personal Audit Result, an original quote, or an experience story to the text? Remember: Rewriting sentences with AI does not add "Unique" value.

4. Readability and Structural Coding (10 Points)

Is the H1, H2 and H3 (Semantic HTML) heading hierarchy of the article correct? Are the sentences short and clearly expressed? Can a 13-year-old web reader, who is reading about SEO for the first time, follow the configuration?

5. Internal Link Distribution (10 Points)

This article should not be a blind and lonely Orphan Page on the site. What other valuable tools of yours (like Content Brief Generator) or other strategy blogs does it meaningfully reference (Internal Link)?

Frequently Asked Questions

Can We Trust Plugins That Give SEO Content Scores?

A WordPress SEO Plugin (e.g. Yoast, Rank Math) only looks at Keyword Density and length to give it the green light. It cannot measure Semantics quality or readability.
